Dining is particularly pleasurable on holiday, so our six course silver service dinner is worth waiting for. Food and the Lake District go hand in hand, so it is not surprising that we are passionate about both. Residents and non residents return time and time again to enjoy the excellent personal service and taste the delights of the menu and the wine list!
There is a very old sign over the dining room door which says: “When good fayre and good service be sought, Courteous attire should trouble ye nought”
The menu is prepared with the finest fresh ingredients and includes a traditional roast carver from our silver serving trolley. Booking is recommended for Sunday lunch as diners travel miles to enjoy the occasion.
Lounges and Conservatory
Relax beside the fire in one of our comfortable lounges and enjoy the picturesque views across the valley. Or why not choose the conservatory - a firm favourite for bar lunches and afternoon tea.
Functions
Business or pleasure? The oak panelled Borrowdale Bar leads on to a function area, ideal for parties, dances and can be used for meetings and events. The hotel is increasingly popular for “small business conferences”, societies and club events. The picturesque location draws vintage motoring organisations.
